In the Lgovsky district of the Kursk region, a 30-year-old tractor driver was injured during field work when he hit an explosive device of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on March 28 by the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.

The man suffered a mine explosion injury, shrapnel wounds to the occipital region of the head and neck. According to the acting head of the Kursk region, his life is not in danger.

"The mechanic of the Lgovskaya experimental breeding station carried out work on harrowing the soil. Despite the fact that the fields were previously surveyed, it is still possible to find explosive objects there," Khinstein wrote on his Telegram channel.

He warned residents of the region that danger threatens not only in the area where entry is prohibited, but also in the territory adjacent to it. Khinstein added that groups of sappers are now increasing, who are actively engaged in mine clearance and the search for explosive objects.

Earlier, on March 23, Khinstein reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the car of the head of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region, Nikolai Volobuev, when he was delivering bread to local residents. According to the acting head of the region, despite the head injury, the head of the district will return to his duties in the near future.
