Olga Galaktionova, who became the head of the Pushkin Museum in January this year, gave her first major interview to Izvestia, where she announced that she plans to conduct an audit and arrange a personnel restructuring.

"Any organization that receives a new head requires an audit. This is necessary in order to understand what problems there are, whether in a museum, a theater, or a clinic. There will be personnel restructuring — not layoffs, but restructuring," Galaktionova told Izvestia.

According to her, there will also be "active work to restore order in the funds": the new management of the museum will conduct an audit on some acquisitions that have caused discussions in previous years.

Olga Galaktionova took over the post of director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts after Elizaveta Likhacheva, who headed the museum since 2023. Galaktionova herself was formerly the head of ROSIZO and became known for the large exhibitions organized by her organization in the Moscow Manege.
