- Colleagues of the correspondent of "Izvestia" Fedorchak shared their memories of him

Colleagues of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak, who died in the special operation zone to protect Donbass, at a farewell ceremony in Crimea on March 28, remembering the journalist, said that he was born and raised on the peninsula and considered it his duty to tell the truth from the front line.
Fedorchak was only 28 years old. He started his career on the Crimean TV channel, where he came by vocation as a student, dreaming of becoming a real journalist. As a result, he turned out to be not only a journalist, but also a real hero.
"He was the funniest guy who created this fun atmosphere. And now on this day, when there is mourning everywhere, it is impossible to believe, I still have the feeling that there is some other person there, and Sasha is somewhere at the front, covering, filming his reports," said colleague Maria Grobovenko.
Colleagues will forever remember the passion with which Fedorchak tackled every editorial topic, as well as his kind smile, which seemed to be able to solve all problems.
"He was always very kind. I had to learn how to solve all the problems, I avoided them, I reacted to everything with ease, maybe I was worried inside. But this kindness, his desire, his desire to help in the first place is [what] I remember. He was very motivated," said colleague Emilia.
When reporting, Fedorchak often used the word "together.": together with the scouts, together with the stormtroopers, together with the gunners. And he considered it honest, both in relation to the audience and in relation to the fighters, the heroes of his stories, with whom he went to the front line together, but without weapons. If something happened during the shooting, he could just drop the microphone and help carry stretchers with the wounded.
"He always helped me, gave me the contacts of the guys. When he was gone, all the guys who talked to him called, whom he introduced me to, and everyone said, "Vlad, tell us that this is not true." Then, of course, it was hard for them to say anything. Everyone loved him, and he was loud and funny, bright," said Vladislav Kharchenko, a correspondent for Izvestia.
"I helped, I always helped. I bought a copter and a jammer. I even went out to help prepare some positions. Sasha is not just a man, not just a man with a capital letter — he is a hero," said a fighter from the Crimean detachment with the call sign Mordvin.
Fedorchak joined the Izvestia team as a young journalist, but already an experienced correspondent. And he immediately joined the big "television family", rushed into combat missions, and skillfully switched between military topics to civilian subjects. Football, which accompanied him all his life, was a great joy for him. In his materials, he rarely but always spoke admiringly about this sport, especially when it came to his favorite team.
His relatives, friends and colleagues came to say goodbye to the correspondent who died in the special military operation zone.
Fedorchak's death in the SVO zone became known on March 24. He worked in the Luhansk People's Republic and the Kharkiv region. The last report of the journalist on the situation in Kupyansk direction was aired on March 23. A memorial was erected in the Izvestia News Center building as a sign of mourning for the deceased correspondent.
