A fire has destroyed 200 hectares of grass in the Transbaikalia region.

In Transbaikalia, a large natural fire occurred in the Karymsky district. Its area was 200 hectares. The fallen dry grass was extinguished by seven firefighters on two pieces of equipment.

IA ChitaMedia, referring to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region, adds that 17 man-made and eight landscape fires occurred in the region during the day. Another large fire was extinguished in a two-storey single-family house in Atamanovka near Chita.

The fire area was 114 square meters. m. 19 rescuers in five vehicles fought the fire.

Earlier it was reported that a high-alert regime was introduced in Transbaikalia on Monday, March 24. This is due to the beginning of the fire season. The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Alexander Osipov.
