A criminal case has been opened into an attack by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on civilians in the Kursk region. This was announced on March 28 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Svetlana Petrenko.
It clarifies that the case was initiated under paragraphs "a", "b", part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). According to the investigation, in March of this year, Ukrainian servicemen, using an unmanned aerial vehicle, dropped an explosive object on a group of civilians who were trying to evacuate Sudzha. Three people were injured in the attack.
"During the preliminary investigation, representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine involved in this crime will be identified and brought to justice," the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said in a Telegram channel.
Petrenko reported on March 26 that the Russian Investigative Committee had established new facts of killings of civilians and looting by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. A criminal case has been opened under paragraphs "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 and paragraphs "a", "c" of Part 3 of Article 356.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act", "Looting").
