Hero of Russia, Major of the National Guard Marat Tibilov, died in the Kursk region while fulfilling his professional duty. This was announced on March 28 by the Rosgvardiya press service.

"Hero of Russia Major Tibilov Marat Georgievich was killed while performing a combat mission in the Kursk region," the department's Telegram channel says.

The management and staff of the department also offered condolences to the family of the deceased. The details of the major's service and combat mission were not specified.

The killers will be justly punished, the journalist's colleagues are sure - it is unlikely that another crime in Kiev will be silenced.

Earlier, on February 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the Gold Star Medal to Major Tibilov. At the award ceremony, the head of state noted the bravery of the participants in the special military operation to protect Donbass in the battles for peace and a bright future for the inhabitants of Russia.
