Employees of the Directorate of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia in the Smolensk region detained a resident of Desnogorsk who called for genocide. This was announced on March 28 by the press service of the department.

It is noted that the man was a member of various pro-Ukrainian and immigrant communities in one of the messengers. There he openly supported statements about the use of violence against Russians.

"In addition, he insisted on the need to crack down on Russians, urging other users to do so. In particular, he offered to exterminate Russians with their families," the regional FSB clarified.

A criminal case has been opened against the man under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for extremist activities").

Earlier, on March 11, a criminal case was opened against a 38-year-old resident of Yalta for incitement to extremism. It was established that the woman, hiding under a pseudonym, published a message in Telegram, which contained calls for violent acts against Russians.
