Russians' confidence rating in Putin was almost 81%

Almost 81% of Russians have confidence in Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced on March 28 by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research (VTsIOM).

The survey was conducted from March 17 to March 23, and 1,600 respondents participated in it.

"The president's approval rating <... It amounted to 78.2% (+0.1 percentage points per week). <...> 80.7% of respondents answered positively to a direct question about trust in Vladimir Putin (+0.9 percentage points per week)," the VTsIOM website says.

51.9% of respondents positively assessed the activities of the government of the country, and 52.7% approved the work of its chairman Mikhail Mishustin. As reported by Gazeta.Ru", the prime minister's confidence rating was 61.8%.

United Russia showed the highest level of support among parliamentary parties — 35.7%, while 33.2% of respondents trust the chairman of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on January 17 that Putin enjoys enormous popular support. He added that the results of the polls are influenced by the successes of the special military operation. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation called it an important factor "for inspiring citizens."
