Two powerful earthquakes recorded in Myanmar

Earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 were recorded in Myanmar. This was confirmed on March 28 by data from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The epicenter of one earthquake was located 31 km northwest of the city of Mandalay, and the second was 19 km south of the city of Sagaing.

The Meteorological Department of Thailand has warned of the risk of aftershocks after the earthquakes in Myanmar.

Earlier in the day, an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred in Vanuatu. An earthquake was recorded 161 km south-east of the capital of the island state, Port Vila, with a population of 36 thousand people. The earthquake was located at a depth of 35 km.
