The culprit of an accident with the death of two people in Novosibirsk was arrested for two months

The Central District Court of Novosibirsk has arrested Nikita Zastavnyuk, a 19-year-old driver who was responsible for an accident in the city center that killed two people. This was announced on March 28 by the regional prosecutor's office.

"The prosecutor's office supported the investigator's petition in court to choose a preventive measure for the culprit of the accident. By a court decision, Nikita Zastavnyuk was given a preventive measure in the form of detention until May 27, 2025," the press service of the department said on the Telegram channel.

A criminal case has been opened against the arrested man under Part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence, committed by a person in a state of intoxication"). It was established that the driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The court took into account the exemplary behavior of the artist and decided on parole.

An accident in Novosibirsk, which killed two people, occurred on March 27. The accident was caused by a 19-year-old BMW driver. At the intersection with Gogol Street, he entered the intersection at a red light, causing a collision with a Hyundai car. Two Hyundai passengers died on the spot. Three more people suffered injuries of varying severity.
