An emergency mode was introduced in a village in the Chelyabinsk region after a gas explosion in a residential building.

In the village of Krasnogorsky, Chelyabinsk region, a municipal-level emergency regime was introduced after a gas explosion in an apartment in a multi-storey building. This was announced on March 28 by the administration of the Yemanzhelinsky district, where the settlement is located.

"A municipal emergency mode of a local nature has been introduced in the village of Krasnogorsky. All services continue to operate online," the Telegram channel of the district authorities says.

It is also reported that the head of the Yemanzhelinsky district, Evgeny Svetlov, held an emergency meeting of the emergency situations commission with the participation of EMERCOM staff and law enforcement officers. The meeting discussed measures to support the victims and plans to restore the damaged house.

In a video posted on the administration's channel, Svetlov stated that the explosion had caused damage to three apartments. A temporary accommodation facility has been set up for the victims, while residents of the three entrances of the damaged house have already been allowed to return.

A gas explosion in one of the apartments of a multi-storey building in Krasnogorsk was reported on March 27. As a result of the incident, one person was killed, three were taken to the hospital. The Regional Prosecutor's Office has initiated an investigation into the incident.
