A group of six tourists was hit by a snowfall on the Uncle Vanya pass, 30 km from the village of Sinegorye the day before. As a result, four of them died. The group has been registered.

"The surviving tourists were discovered by employees of the emergency department around five in the morning. <...> On board the Mi-8 of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the evacuees will be taken and transferred to the Magadan Regional Hospital," the Ministry said in a statement.

About 40 people and 14 pieces of equipment were involved in the rescue operation.
