Putin: there is reason to believe that Russian troops will finish off the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian troops can finally defeat the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during a special military operation (SVO). The Russian leader said this on March 27 during a meeting with submariners of the Arkhangelsk nuclear submarine in Murmansk.

"We are gradually, not as fast as someone would like, but nevertheless, persistently and confidently moving towards achieving all the goals set at the beginning of this operation," Putin said.

The Russian President also noted that Russian troops have a strategic initiative along the entire line of contact.
