USC told about the participation of more than 400 organizations in the creation of the Perm submarine

The teams of more than 400 organizations worked on the creation of the Perm nuclear-powered submarine cruiser, said Andrey Puchkov, General Director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), during the submarine launching ceremony on March 27. Izvestia showed footage from the scene.

"Thousands of designers, engineers and shipbuilders across the country are working on the design and construction of new surface and submarine ships, and the Perm submarine is a prime example of such close cooperation," he said.

According to Puchkov, Perm is a modern ship that surpasses its foreign counterparts in its characteristics.

The propeller of the submarine was carefully hidden from prying eyes before launching, as its shape can be used to calculate the tactical and technical characteristics of the boat, said Izvestia correspondent Stanislav Grigoriev.

On March 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized the launching of the new Perm nuclear-powered submarine. The ceremony took place during the visit of the head of state to the Murmansk region. Then he noted that such vessels would strengthen the power of the Russian fleets and strengthen the security of the country's maritime borders.
