The calculation of the Pantsir-S air defense missile system destroyed the AFU strike drone in the Zaporozhye region

The calculation of the Pantsir-S 49-1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon system of the Dnepr combined arms army struck an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on March 28 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, the calculation of the complex detected the target and identified it as an enemy attack drone that was flying towards one of the settlements of the Zaporizhia region. Having captured the drone for escort, the crew launched one missile and hit the target.

After that, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued conducting radar reconnaissance in order to detect, identify and fire damage the UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that today the intensity of the calculation has become lower, the enemy uses less air weapons.

The Pantsir-S missile defense system is an autonomous complex that can accompany up to 12 targets. So, he performs tasks on the move independently, since the commander of the vehicle has the right to make a decision on the use of weapons independently in a rapidly changing environment. The complex can also work according to the instructions from the command post, both as part of the division and as part of the battery.

"This complex has no analogues," said the head of the calculation with the call sign Felix.
