Musk announced his intention to reduce US spending by $1 trillion

The head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), American entrepreneur Elon Musk, said on March 27 that he wants to reduce the costs of the US government by $ 1 trillion.
"Our goal is to reduce the budget deficit to $1 trillion <...> that is, by half. Reduce federal spending from $7 trillion to $6 trillion," he told Fox News.
He also noted the large amount of fraud and unnecessary spending in the American government, citing as an example a survey for which, according to him, almost $1 billion was spent.
"For example, a simple survey consisting of literally 10 questions <...> almost a billion dollars were spent on it. For a simple online survey about whether you like the national park, you need to pay $ 1 billion," Musk was surprised.
On January 31, Musk proposed cutting spending in the United States budget by $4 billion a day to reduce the federal deficit in 2026. In his opinion, even such measures will lead to a budget deficit of $1 trillion, but economic growth should match this figure.
