Employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol have stopped the illegal activities of regional supporters of a terrorist neo-Nazi organization in the region. This was announced on March 28 by the press service of the department.
Jointly with the Center for Countering Extremism (CPE) The Russian Interior Ministry and FSB officers conducted operational search operations and detained an 18-year-old resident of Crimea involved in the attack and infliction of bodily harm to citizens. He is also suspected of damaging property, arson and applying extremist symbols.
At his place of residence, law enforcement officers found and seized molotov cocktails, knives, pepper spray cans, green spray paint and communications equipment.
When examining the phone, law enforcement officers were able to establish that the young man is the administrator of a Telegram channel and an account with an anti-Russian and neo-Nazi orientation. It is also noted that he is in contact with the leader of the Ukrainian terrorist organization, who gave him the task to set fire to the mosque for a monetary reward of $ 1,000.
The detainee also participated in "direct action actions" and, with the help of organizing caches, handed over Molotov cocktails and other items to local residents for committing crimes for a reward paid in cryptocurrency by the curators of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
The suspect has been detained and a criminal case has been opened against him under Article 30 ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime"), Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code ("Terrorist act"). The circumstances and other persons involved are being established.
On March 11, Russian FSB officers detained a resident of the Belgorod region who planned to commit a terrorist attack in the city of Valuiki and poison military personnel. He established contact with representatives of a recognized terrorist organization in the Russian Federation, and also collected information about the locations and movements of the Russian military in the border area of the region and transmitted data for attacks on them.
Criminal cases have been initiated against him under Articles 275 ("Treason"), parts 1 and 3 of Article 30 ("Preparation for a crime"), part 2 of Article 205.5 ("Participation in the activities of a terrorist organization"), paragraph "a" of Part 3 of Article 281 ("Sabotage"), Part 1.
