Macron announced the deployment of the French and British military in Ukraine

Paris and London intend to deploy military personnel in places strategically important for Kiev in Ukraine. This was announced on March 27 by French President Emmanuel Macron.
He clarified that he had agreed with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to work together to provide Kiev with a "strong army."
"We will give a mandate to our chiefs of staff so that the Franco-British team can be delegated to Ukraine in the next few days and can work very closely with our Ukrainian partners, who also agreed to this mechanism to prepare the format of tomorrow's Ukrainian army in all areas," Macron said at a press conference following the summit. "Coalition of the Willing", which was broadcast by France 24 TV channel.
The French President noted that such support forces would not represent peacekeeping forces, nor would they replace the military on the front line. According to him, the contingent will be deployed in specific strategic locations, which will be determined jointly with the Ukrainian side.
Macron stressed that the deployment of Franco-British forces would be possible only after the signing of a peace agreement as one of the guarantees of security.
Also at a press conference, the French president said that the participants of the summit on the conflict in Ukraine in Paris had unanimously decided that the time had not yet come to lift sanctions against Russia. According to him, the participating countries of the summit also agreed to instruct the foreign ministers to prepare proposals for monitoring compliance with the ceasefire regime in three weeks.
