Experts also clarified that after the snow melts, roads are often covered with puddles, which may hide deep holes. Getting into such areas can damage the suspension, discs and tires, as well as disrupt the geometry of the wheels. The service recommended slowing down on suspicious sections of road and avoiding deep puddles.

Stretch the tires: it's too early to change tires, despite the March warming

By the end of the month, the temperature will drop to negative values, meteorologists warn.

"Also, in the spring, it is worth paying special attention to the condition of the suspension: if there are extraneous sounds, vibrations or the car is pulling to the side, it is necessary to carry out diagnostics (however, for an objective result, it is advisable to do it after tire repair)," the experts added.

In addition, after the end of the cold weather, a mixture of reagents and sand may remain on the roads. Experts stressed that in spring it is especially important to thoroughly flush the bottom, arches and hidden cavities to prevent corrosion. Regular washing prolongs the service life of the body and keeps the suspension and braking system working.

"In spring, the content of dust and pollen in the air increases. A dirty air filter reduces the efficiency of the engine, increases fuel consumption and can cause engine failures, while the cabin air filter does not purify the air that drivers and passengers breathe efficiently enough. It is better to replace the filter in advance, especially if the car was operated in a city with large industrial facilities or was not serviced after the winter," the service explained.

Earlier, on March 14, SberAuto told Izvestia that if you have basic tools and skills, independent tire installation can lead to unpleasant consequences. They stressed that it is worthwhile to change only the wheel assemblies on your own — it is difficult to properly install the disc without experience and equipment.
