Russia's international reserves have exceeded $650 billion, setting a new historical record. This was confirmed on March 27 by data on the official website of the Central Bank of Russia.

"As of the end of the day on March 21, 2025, international reserves amounted to $650.4 billion," the report says.

According to the Central Bank, for the period from March 14 to March 21 of this year, the indicator increased by 1.3%, which is equivalent to $8.5 billion. It is noted that the sharp increase in international reserves is the result of a positive revaluation.

At the same time, the week before, Russian reserves were estimated at $641.9 billion, adds "Газета.Ru ".

International reserves are highly liquid financial assets held by the Central Bank of Russia and the government of the country.

Earlier, on March 21, Evgeny Shatov, a partner at Capital Lab, told Izvestia that Russia's international reserves continue to increase, largely due to the positive revaluation of assets. He assured that the positive dynamics of international reserves will continue.
