- The Czech Republic will send at least 1.5 million artillery shells to Ukraine in 2025.

The Czech Republic plans to send at least 1.5 million artillery shells to Ukraine in 2025. This was stated on March 27 by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Petr Fiala, in an interview for Czech TV.
"As an aid to Ukraine, the Czech Republic will supply this country within the framework of the Czech Ammunition initiative, at least, I emphasize, at least no fewer artillery shells than in 2024, that is, 1.5 million units," CTK quoted him as saying.
In the spring of 2024, the Czech Republic initiated the collection of artillery shells of various calibers for Ukraine in Europe.
On March 25, Petr Fiala announced that Ukraine could lose 500,000 155 mm shells in the event of a change of power in the Czech Republic in 2025. According to him, if the Czech opposition movement ANO (Action of Dissatisfied Citizens) party, led by former Prime Minister Andrei Babis, wins the October elections, then the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not be sent.
