Lungu, leader of the Chance party, called Sandu's regime in Moldova fascist

Alexei Lungu, the leader of the Moldovan opposition Chance party, said that Moldova had become a "fascist state" during the presidency of Maia Sandu. He informed Izvestia about this on March 27.
"It is clear to every citizen of the Republic of Moldova who has realized that we currently have a fascist occupied state, that this is just a fight against us, against the opposition," Lungu believes.
According to him, after the changes, when a healthy political force comes to power in Chisinau and the rule of law comes to the country, none of the current leadership of the republic will remain free. At the same time, the politician assured that he would fight to the end with the support of his party.
The oppositionist also noted that Moldova is currently the poorest European country with the highest prices for gas and food, and the current authorities are stealing budget money.
Earlier that day, Lungu was unable to fly from Chisinau. He stressed that he was not involved in any criminal case, calling what was happening another lawlessness of the current Moldovan authorities.
Earlier, on March 24, former Moldovan Economy Minister Octavian Kalmyk said that the republic's public debt had doubled in five years due to Sandu's policy. He stated that the economic situation does not give grounds for a positive forecast. According to Kalmyk, there is no foreign investment in Moldova, besides, part of the capital is leaving the republic.
