The works of 29 Iranian artists can be seen as part of the 6th edition of the Art Russia Contemporary Art Fair, which will be held from April 3-6 in Gostiny Dvor. The exhibition of the Persian Section at Art of Russia includes three stands, each of which reveals important trends in contemporary Iranian art. The collection features paintings, graphics, and mixed media representing the diversity of Iran's artistic language.

An important event of the fair will be the participation of Reza Derakshani, who was awarded a personal stand. The artist's works are included in the collections of the world's largest museums. They are on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the British Museum (London), and the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg). The new names include young artists with original interpretations of oriental aesthetics. Thus, visitors to the fair will see the works of Elham Nafisi, Hossein Tamjit, Afshin Bagheri. Of particular interest to collectors will be the works of Mohammad Ali Taragijah, Saeed Ahmadzadeh, and Behnam Kamrani.

The special guest of the section will be the famous Iranian curator Dr. Jamal Arabzade. His projects are distinguished by a keen understanding of international trends and cultural peculiarities of different countries, which has allowed him to successfully realize a number of major exhibitions, such as "Hyperrealism: from Image to Reality" at the Tehran Museum of Modern Art and "Eye to Eye: Portrait in Contemporary Art." The curator's works have been presented in prestigious galleries and exhibition halls in New York, Strasbourg, Tehran and other world cultural capitals.

Art Russia is Russia's largest contemporary art fair and international art forum, founded in 2020 by the Synergy Corporation. The events annually bring together gallery owners and independent artists, collectors and art market experts on one site in the center of Moscow. In six years, 134 galleries and 741 artists were represented at the fair. The number of visitors for the 5 editions of the fair was about 150 thousand people, and the total amount of sales was more than 500 million rubles.
