Lipetsk will spend 6.5 million rubles on cleaning of monuments

About 6.5 million rubles will be spent on cosmetic repairs and cleaning of 40 urban monuments in Lipetsk. The money will be allocated from the budget of the regional capital, said the chief inspector of the city Vitaly Lesnoy on Thursday, March 27.
The contract for the work was won by Stroy48. The "military" monuments must be put in order by May 9th. The rest — until July 15th. The list of monuments also includes monuments to saints, erected with money from patrons.
According to GOROD48, if necessary, the contractor will strengthen the foundation of the monuments and replace the old brick with a monolith. The tables with the names of the fallen internationalist soldiers are also awaiting restoration.
In the village of Dachny, on Vodopyanova and Papina streets, monuments are already ready. Work on Victory Square is due to start today.
Restoration work has also begun on the Heroes' Square memorial complex. Workers wipe off the plaque from the tile lining and restore its lost elements. After the Victory Day celebration, the entire complex will undergo major repairs — paving slabs and granite will be completely replaced.
Earlier in March, it was reported that the treatment of natural parks against ticks had begun in Lipetsk. Citizens are advised to refrain from walking dogs.
