Law enforcement agencies have detained an employee of a gas company in a criminal case concerning an explosion in an illegally built high-rise building in Makhachkala. This was announced on March 27 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Dagestan.

"On suspicion of committing a crime in accordance with Articles 91-92 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, a master of the repair and maintenance service of the Leninsky district of Makhachkala was detained due to inaction and failure to perform official duties, which led to this situation and harm to the health of local residents," the department's Telegram channel says.
