- On March 26, Argumenty I Fakty presented a special project dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory

On March 26, 2025, Argumenty I Fakty publishing house hosted a presentation of the flagship educational project "We have won!", implemented by the editorial board to mark the 80th anniversary of the defeat of fascism in the Great Patriotic War.
The special project is presented in an online format on the website aif.ru it includes more than 150 exclusive publications by the authors of AiF about the main battles of the Second World War, about the marshals of Victory and the victorious soldiers, about how they managed to put industry on a war footing and what feats the home front workers performed, as well as about the tremendous work of the special services that She remained out of the public field. In addition, the project includes a number of exclusive video and photo reports by international AIF columnist Georgy Zotov from former concentration camps.
"AIF columnist Georgy Zotov made a new trip to the places of Nazi crimes – German concentration camps in European countries, where hundreds of thousands of people were tortured in the past," Mikhail Chkanikov, editor–in-chief of Argumenty I Fakty, tells about the brightest page of the project. "The crimes of the fascists are continued today by their spiritual heirs – European officials are silent about the fact that prisoners of these death factories were freed by a Soviet soldier. About this – new reports by Georgy Zotov, on the project's website you can watch his videos from a trip to Europe – see the section "Machine of extermination".
Zotov notes that the Sachsenhausen death camp, with its well-renovated buildings, resembles a pretty urban park for walking. Tourists manage to bring food to Auschwitz, bring small children who laugh and make noise, and locals admit that the concentration camp has become a place that feeds them thanks to visitors.
The Great Patriotic War affected every Soviet family. That's why stories about the war are very emotional. Each author writes about that time as a personal story and tries to show the events truthfully and comprehensively. In addition, the war is presented through the eyes of peaceful people who survived the occupation or evacuation, and children who were left alone with the horrors of wartime, hunger and cold in besieged Leningrad or who witnessed the hardest battles.
The special project "We won!" is open and will be supplemented with new materials throughout the year. And in the "Celebrating the whole country" section there will be reports, photos and videos about events in different regions of the country dedicated to the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
