The media reported the death of six tourists in the crash of a bathyscaphe in Hurghada.

A tourist submarine sank off the coast of Hurghada, Egypt, with about 45 people on board, according to preliminary data, six people were killed, the local portal Youm7 reported on March 27.

As indicated by the Egyptian media, representatives of different states are among the dead and injured.

"The injured were taken to the nearest hospital in the Al-Qautar area of Hurghada," the media reports.

Operational service personnel and medical personnel, as well as representatives of the competent authorities, are on site.

On the same day, the Russian Consulate General in Hurghada reported that four Russian tourists were killed in an incident with the Sinbad bathyscaphe off the coast of Hurghada. It was clarified that in addition to the crew members, there were 45 tourists on board, including minors. All of them are Russian citizens. Most of those on board the bathyscaphe were rescued, after which they were taken to hotels and hospitals in Hurghada.
