The Sinbad tourist bathyscaphe, which sank off the coast of Hurghada in Egypt, has been in operation for about 10 years. On March 27, Izvestia was informed about this by the company Sharm Hurghada Excursions, which organized the tour.

According to the employee, the provided bathyscaphe is the only submarine at the company's disposal and has been operating for about 10 years.

The company clarified that their tours last only an hour. The cost of diving to explore the coral reef on board is €70 (about 6.3 thousand rubles) per adult and €35 (about 3.1 thousand rubles) per child.

The Russian Consulate General in Hurghada reported on the accident on the afternoon of March 27. The diplomatic mission said that four Russian tourists were killed in the incident. In total, in addition to the crew members, there were 45 people on board, including minors.
