Nebenzia declared Russia's unshakable authority in the UN

Russia's authority in the UN remains unshakeable amid the intrigues of Western countries. This was stated on March 27 by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the organization Vasily Nebenzia in a video message to the participants of the International Scientific and Diplomatic Congress in Yalta.
"Despite all the intrigues of our Western opponents, Russia's authority in the UN among the member states is unshakeable. And no amount of turbulence in recent years will hurt him," TASS quoted him as saying.
Nebenzia noted that the respect of the UN member states for the Russian Federation has only grown due to Moscow's firm and independent position in upholding its interests. Russia is perceived as the guardian of the foundations of the organization and the just defender of weak and oppressed peoples.
In addition, the increasingly confident voice of the countries of the Global South at the United Nations is another reason for the discontent of the former colonial powers of the West. The desire to save their elusive dominance pushes Western countries to gross violations of international law and the use of double standards in international relations.
Earlier, on March 21, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said in an interview with Izvestia that the West was waging a "crusade" against Russia at the UN General Assembly. According to him, the allies of the Kiev regime are actively using pressure methods to get the votes of the participating countries in favor of anti-Russian resolutions.
