Four people died in an avalanche in the Magadan region


In the Yagodninsky district of the Magadan region, four people were killed in an avalanche, and another was missing. This was announced on March 27 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
"A tourist group of six people was hit by a snowfall on the Uncle Vanya pass, 30 km from the village of Sinegorye," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
According to preliminary information, four of the tourists died, one received moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital.
It is specified that a group of eight rescuers was sent by helicopter Mi-8 of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations to evacuate tourists.
Earlier, on February 24, an avalanche occurred on the southern slope of Aibga outside the equipped trails of the Rosa Khutor resort in the Sochi mountains. At the same time, they reported that one person was not getting in touch. Later, the resort's press service clarified that a guide and two riders were in the danger zone. Two people were able to send their coordinates to the rescuers, who subsequently began working out the route.
Later, on March 1, it was reported that rescuers had found the body of a skier in the Sochi mountains who had not been in touch after the avalanche. It is noted that his body was lifted into a helicopter of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations using an on-board winch.
