The investigation requested the arrest of the founder of Rusagro, Moshkovich


The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow registered the investigator's petition for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention of Vadim Moshkovich, entrepreneur, founder of the Rusagro agricultural holding and former member of the Federation Council from the Belgorod region. This was confirmed on March 27 by the data from the card file on the website of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction, which Izvestia reviewed.
According to law enforcement agencies, Moshkovich was taken to court. The investigation is also requesting the arrest of Maxim Basov, the former CEO of the company.
The day before, a source from Izvestia reported on the businessman's detention. The company's offices were searched. On the same day, March 26, Moshkovich and Basov were charged with fraud and abuse of office.
It was reported that Rusagro's activities continue as normal after the searches, and the company is ready to assist law enforcement agencies. Rusagro also noted that the incident may raise questions from customers, partners and employees of the company. At the same time, it was clarified that the company conducts its activities in accordance with the law.
