Recent contacts between Moscow and Washington are just the beginning of improving relations between the two countries, and it is too early to draw conclusions. This was stated on March 27 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, speaking at the international conference "Russia and India".

Ryabkov also said that Russia had received signals from the United States about a mutually respectful dialogue, which opens up the possibility for "non-confrontational coexistence."

According to him, such steps are important for establishing stable and constructive communication between the two countries.

Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the United States remain extremely difficult due to the long-term policies of previous American administrations.
