The DPR court sentenced a mercenary from France to 14 years in a penal colony


The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has sentenced Arthur Tremoulet, a 28-year-old citizen of the French Republic, to 14 years in a high-security penal colony in absentia. This was reported on March 27 on the website of the regional prosecutor's office.
It was established that in the period from May to August 2022, the defendant arrived on the territory of Ukraine, where he joined the ranks of the special forces battalion of the International Legion. He participated in combat operations on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Tremule received a reward for these actions.
The court found the man guilty under Article 3, Article 359 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation of a mercenary in an armed conflict"). He was sentenced to 14 years in a high-security penal colony.
On March 24, the Supreme Court of the DPR sentenced Georgian citizen Nadim Khmaladze to 14 years in prison in absentia, finding him guilty under Part 3 of Article 359 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation of a mercenary in an armed conflict"). As part of various armed formations, he took part in combat operations in the city of Irpen, the village of Gostomel in the Buchan district and the city of Bucha in the Kiev region of Ukraine. For this, he received a reward in the amount of more than 745 thousand rubles.
