A prisoner of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a bribe to the military commissar of $ 5,000 for service in the deep rear

A captured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from the 105th separate territorial defense brigade, Maryan Moroz, said that he got to the front solely because the borders were closed in the country, and it was impossible to leave or get a job without a military ID. As the Ukrainian said on March 27, in order to serve in the deep rear at the military enlistment office, he bribed an employee of $5,000.

"I said that I would serve for two years and then become a citizen. He said yes, whatever you want. And they left me to serve in the rear because I paid an employee of the commissariat $5,000," he said.

In 2022, Moroz served among the cadets of the Lviv College of non-commissioned officers. However, after graduating, he was also in no hurry to go to war. A certain Major Kozak helped him in this — for $3 thousand, the "father commander" allowed the sergeant "not to become cannon fodder."

"After that, I went to a military unit in the Ternopil region, but they also offered to pay again. But since I didn't have any money <...>, they gave me one grenade and cartridges for a machine gun [and sent me to fight]. I was captured when we were moving to another position, <...> I was asleep, we were captured and we surrendered," Moroz clarified.

He added that all Ukrainian soldiers are treated well in Russian military captivity. They have been provided with food and medical care.
