French President Emmanuel Macron said that the discussion of lifting sanctions against Russia is possible only within the framework of a long-term peace agreement, and not a temporary ceasefire.

"For me, the issue of sanctions should be raised within the framework of a long—term and reliable peaceful settlement," Macron said on March 26 at a press conference with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky in Paris.
