Torrential rains and floods have killed more than 50 people in Bolivia. This was announced on March 26 by President Luis Arce.

He clarified that more than 370,000 families were also affected, and more than 100,000 citizens had to move. According to him, a state of emergency has been declared in the country.

"These natural disasters force us to declare a state of emergency in the country," the Reuters news agency quoted Arce as saying.

It is noted that the emergency mode will allow the government to purchase supplies and facilitate the allocation of resources. In addition, thousands of military personnel were deployed across the country to help the victims.

La Nacion newspaper reported on March 8 that 10 people died as a result of flooding in the port province of Buenos Aires in Argentina. According to the newspaper, more than 400 mm of precipitation fell in the city, and a significant part of the city was flooded. More than 1,000 people were evacuated from the flooded areas.
