Two cars collided in Novosibirsk, resulting in the death of two people. This was announced on March 27 by the press service of the Main directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

According to preliminary data, the initiator of the accident was a 19-year-old BMW driver driving along Krasny Prospekt. At the intersection with Gogol Street, he entered the intersection under a forbidding traffic light and collided with a Hyundai car.

"The BMW driver has been detained. He has been found to be intoxicated," the agency said in a statement on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that two Hyundai passengers died at the scene of the accident. Three more people suffered injuries of varying severity. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles").

On March 25, the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate reported the death of one person in an accident in the north of the capital. According to preliminary data from the department, on Leningradsky Prospekt, the driver of a Hyundai car ran over a citizen who fell onto the roadway from the roof of the Khodynka tunnel. The man died on the spot from his injuries.
