Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted Evgeny Kuyvashev's resignation from the post of governor of the Sverdlovsk Region. This was announced on March 26 on the Kremlin's website.

"To accept the resignation of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, E. V. Kuyvashev, at his own request," the decree says.

The relevant decree comes into force from the date of signing, the document says.
