The calculation of the D-30 howitzer destroyed the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the border areas of the Kursk region

The calculation of a 122-mm towed D-30 howitzer of the Ussuri Separate Guards airborne assault unit destroyed the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border areas of the Kursk region. This was announced on March 27 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Units of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the 83rd Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade discovered an enemy stronghold with infantry, which had to be taken by Russian attack aircraft and cleared. After additional reconnaissance and confirmation of the target, the coordinates were immediately transferred to the artillery crew. Then the calculation of the D-30 howitzer inflicted fire damage on the detected target.

At the same time, after the first sighting shot, the second accurate shot from the howitzer destroyed the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the shelter, the department reported.

After hitting the target, the gunners camouflaged the gun and took cover. Later, the paratrooper gunners conducted artillery training and supported the assault units before the Russian army units entered the stronghold.

"We're getting it out, we're working quietly," said the commander of the gun with the call sign Cardan.

The gunners of the Ussuri paratroopers carry out tasks to destroy armored vehicles, firepower, ammunition depots, fortified enemy positions and fire support for the assault groups of the compound in the border areas of the Kursk region. At the same time, the gunners work around the clock in the most difficult conditions, they conduct targeted fire from a distance of over 8 km. Their skills have already been perfected to automatism, the speed reaches eight rounds per minute, the department noted.

On March 26, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian military personnel using the Geran-2 UAV struck the launch site of the Ukrainian Armed Forces drones in the village of Dolinskoye, Zaporizhia region. As a result, the position caught fire.
