The armored car of the missing American military was found in Lithuania.

An M88 Hercules armored recovery vehicle carrying four American soldiers who were previously reported missing has been discovered in Lithuania. This was announced on March 26 by the European and African Command of the US Armed Forces.

"The car was found submerged in a pond at the landfill after searches conducted by the US Army, the Lithuanian armed forces and other Lithuanian authorities. The U.S. Army, the Lithuanian armed forces and civilian agencies are working to restore it," the statement said.

The ministry clarified that the search for the soldiers who disappeared during the exercises continues.

NATO spokeswoman Allison Hart also said on the social network X (formerly Twitter) that the search for the four US military personnel was continuing. In addition, she apologized for the confusion that arose after the words of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, pointing out that he had not confirmed the fate of the missing.

On the same day, the media reported the deaths of four American soldiers who went missing during exercises at a training ground near the city of Pabrade in Lithuania. Their deaths have not been officially confirmed.
