Tehran called on Washington to change the tone of communication with Iran

Iran is ruling out the possibility of nuclear talks with the United States until Washington stops exerting pressure on Tehran. This was stated to Izvestia by the country's ambassador to the Russian Federation, Kazem Jalali.
"As long as the United States talks to us in the language of threats and pressure, there can be no talk of negotiations. So far, we have not seen any signs of changes. If they (the United States) ever change their approach and start talking to us on the basis of respect and equality, then we will act and make decisions," the diplomat said.
He stressed that Washington's dual strategy, where soft words are followed by harsh actions, will not work against Iran.
"There will be no progress until Washington understands this and changes its approach," Jalali said.
In early March, US President Donald Trump announced that he had sent a letter to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in which he noted that he would prefer to conclude a nuclear agreement with Tehran. At the same time, he noted that the United States is considering two ways to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue — military or diplomatic, stressing that he prefers negotiations.
On March 19, the Axios portal, citing sources, reported that Washington had set a two-month deadline in the letter for concluding a new nuclear deal with Tehran.
