- In the USA, they reported a check due to the data leak scandal through the Signal chat

The White House National Security Council (NSC) is conducting an audit in connection with the leak of data on US strikes on Yemen in the Signal messenger. This was stated on March 26 by the head of the American national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, at a hearing in the special Standing Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress.
"National Security Assistant (we are talking about Michael Waltz. — Ed.) took full responsibility. The National Security Service is conducting a detailed check, and technical experts are working to determine how the journalist was unintentionally added to the chat," she clarified during the broadcast of the meeting, which was hosted by the Fox News YouTube channel.
According to Gabbard, the messenger is installed on government electronic devices in advance. The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), she continued, had previously provided officials with recommendations on using end-to-end encryption technology messengers, which include Signal.
The scandalous publication of the Atlantic magazine discussing attacks on the Yemeni Houthis by the US administration became known on March 25. Jeffrey Goldberg, the magazine's editor-in-chief, said that on March 11, he received a request to connect to Signal from a user under the nickname "Mike Waltz." Two days later, Goldberg received a notification about being added to a group chat called "The Houthis are a small group." Then, on March 15, a user named "Pete Hegseth" posted a message that contained details of the upcoming strikes against the Houthis.
The next day, the publication published new messages from a secret group chat. According to the screenshots, Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth sent information about the departure of American F-18 fighter jets 31 minutes before the start of the mission and two hours before the scheduled target destruction date.
US President Donald Trump said he was not upset by the scandal over the leak of data on strikes in Yemen and considered the incident an "insignificant glitch." The American leader indicated that he continues to trust his national security aide, despite the leak of information from the officials' private chat.
