- The Belarusian Foreign Ministry expressed condolences over the death of Russian journalists.

On March 26, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus expressed condolences over the deaths of journalists from Channel One, Zvezda TV channel and Izvestia news center.
"The silence of the OSCE, UNESCO, and the Human Rights Council once again calls into question their authority, impartiality, and ability to protect journalists performing their professional duties," the agency said in a statement on its official VKontakte page.
The Foreign Ministry also added that attacks on media workers who have identification marks according to international standards require immediate and effective measures from international structures.
On the same day, the BRICS Journalists Association appealed to UNESCO in connection with the murders of Russian correspondents while they were performing their professional duties. Ivan Melnikov, Director of the Department for the Protection of Journalists' Rights at the BRICS Journalists' Association, called for measures and assistance to be taken to protect media workers from the Russian Federation and their rights in the current conditions, including the right to freedom of speech.
The death of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak became known on March 24. He worked on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) and the Kharkiv region. Fedorchak's latest report on the situation in the Kupyansk area aired on March 23. A memorial was erected in the Izvestia News Center building as a sign of mourning for the deceased correspondent.
