- The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the terror against Russian journalists from Ukraine

The Kiev regime has unleashed terror against Russian journalists, and is also conducting a "death hunt" for them in the area of the special military operation (SVO). This was stated on March 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in a comment published on the agency's website.
"The Kiev regime has unleashed real terror against Russian journalists and military personnel, and is furiously conducting a deadly hunt for them," the statement said.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that in the last few days alone, four employees of the Russian media were killed as a result of Ukrainian actions. According to Zakharova, the Ukrainian militants deliberately hunted down correspondents and their film crews who did not have weapons with them, and then struck to kill.
In addition, the Foreign Ministry called on the Director General of UNESCO, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on freedom of the media to provide an immediate response to the incident and take measures to stop attacks on press staff.
The ministry also stressed that all those responsible for the murder of Russian journalists will be brought to justice.
Earlier that day, military commander Anna Prokofieva died in the performance of her professional duty from an explosion on a Ukrainian mine in the Belgorod region. Cameraman Dmitry Volkov was also injured. The press service of Channel One noted that the journalist died shortly before her birthday. At the same time, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the terrorist attack.
Prior to that, on March 24, Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak died in the special operation zone. He worked on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic and the Kharkiv region. Fedorchak's latest report on the situation in the Kupyansk area aired on March 23. A memorial was erected in the Izvestia News Center building as a sign of mourning for the deceased correspondent.
At the same time, on March 24, Andrey Panov, a cameraman for the Zvezda TV channel, and Alexander Sirkeli, the driver of the film crew, died in the special operation zone. They worked on the same set with Fedorchak. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case into the deaths of journalists.
