European diplomats were surprised by the frequency of trips by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto to Russia. This was reported by Bloomberg on March 26.

According to the agency's calculations, Szijjarto has been to Russia at least 13 times in more than three years. Officials who spoke to Bloomberg on condition of anonymity said they were perplexed by the number of trips the diplomat had made to Russia. They also question their usefulness.

"Even the foreign ministers of some of Moscow's closest allies do not travel to Russia with such regularity, while Western allies have severed ties or sharply reduced contact," the publication says.

Earlier, on March 26, Szijjarto announced a visit to Moscow, during which he plans, among other things, to discuss a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. The minister also said that the recent negotiations between Russia and the United States have become a "new milestone" in the peaceful settlement, which makes the world safer.

On the same day, Szijjarto said in a video message from Red Square that the agreement on the mutual refusal of Russia and Ukraine from attacks on energy infrastructure had significantly increased Hungary's energy security.
