- Novak assessed the damage to the Sudzha gas measuring station after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack

The restoration of the Sudzha gas measuring station (GIS) in the Kursk region after an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will depend on future agreements with European states in the field of energy. This was announced on March 26 by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
He noted that GIS Suja had sustained significant damage, and it would take a long time to recover.
"The damage is currently being assessed. It is clear that in case of recovery it will take quite a lot of time," said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
Novak also added that the Russian energy system continues to function stably, despite the attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on energy infrastructure facilities.
During the talks between American leader Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 18, the Russian leader supported the idea of Moscow and Kiev mutually rejecting attacks on energy infrastructure. In turn, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky promised on March 19 to abandon attacks on energy infrastructure facilities.
At the same time, on March 21, Ukrainian Armed Forces militants launched an attack on GIS Sudzha in the Kursk region. The Russian Defense Ministry called the Ukrainian strike a discrediting of the US peace initiatives. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Ukraine was unable to negotiate after the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the gas measuring station.
