Siluanov pointed out the importance of building financial infrastructure for the BRICS countries

Building a financial infrastructure is very important for the development of trade and the economies of the BRICS countries. This was announced on March 26 by the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.

"Building a financial infrastructure is very important for the development of trade and the economies of our countries. This is what we are doing during the discussions on the agenda of the BRICS countries," he said following the presentation of the annual report on the work of the executive branch in the State Duma.

According to him, representatives of the BRICS member states are considering various financial innovations on the block's platform. The minister clarified that, among other things, representatives of the countries are considering the possibility of inter—depository bridges, when investors can purchase securities on the market of the BRICS member states without obstacles. In addition, he noted the elaboration of the issue of mutual insurance.

Maxim Reshetnikov, head of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, said on February 17 that the Russian economy is open to multilateral cooperation and is not afraid of competition. The Minister called the association one of the most promising global markets at the moment.
