Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin delivered the government's annual report to the State Duma. Economy

• As a result, the economy grew at a rate exceeding the global average for the second year in a row. This made it possible to enter the top four countries in terms of purchasing power parity. For the first time, GDP surpassed 200 trillion rubles in nominal terms, having doubled in four years.
• Economic growth was driven by increased investment and consumer demand. Investments in fixed assets increased by almost 7.5% in real terms, and the real income of the population increased by almost 8.5%. At the same time, the unemployment rate dropped to a historic low.
• Mishustin stated that the budget policy followed by the government was focused on the structural transformation of the economy and the ongoing restructuring of economic relations. In 2024, it was possible to increase budget revenues by a quarter, which helped to fulfill all social obligations and start implementing new national projects.
• The Government continues to work on macroeconomic stability. He is faced with the tasks of reducing inflation, ensuring resilience to external shocks, developing the labor market and overcoming the shortage of personnel. • Industrial production growth in 2024 was 4.6%. According to the results of the third quarter, almost 29.5 million people in Russia were employed in small and medium-sized businesses, which received support in the amount of 7.6 trillion rubles in six years.
• 3.5 trillion rubles were allocated to support Russian regions in 2024. These funds were spent on opening medical facilities and updating engineering communications. Another 175 billion rubles were allocated for the construction of housing, kindergartens, schools and road improvements. Debt in the amount of 1 trillion rubles was written off to the regions. The government also pays special attention to subjects with low socio-economic development, implementing individual programs for them in the amount of 60 billion rubles.
The social sphere
• The Prime Minister stressed that the Government continues to work on the welfare of large families. One of the implemented support measures was a subsidy of 450 thousand rubles to pay off the mortgage at the birth of the third and subsequent child. In 2024, 160,000 families used this option, and it will continue to operate until 2030.
• The maximum payment to parents for pregnancy and childbirth is approaching 800 thousand rubles. The Government retains child care benefits even if parents return to work early before the child turns 1.5 years old.
• In 2024, there was another wave of indexation of federal payments. Insurance pensions were first increased by 7.3%, and then to the actual inflation rate of 9.5%. Similarly, military pensions and about 40 other types of payments have increased. Education

• The Government has strengthened the training of qualified personnel in sought-after professions. • Quotas for targeted education have been expanded for the next academic year at the expense of the budget for 80 areas. In some medical specialties, the number of places has almost doubled. The Government is also implementing a program to build 40 student campuses, some of which have already been commissioned.
Housing and construction
• The national project "Housing and Urban Environment" from 2019 to 2024 allowed 23.6 million families to improve their living conditions. A total of 578 million square meters were built during this time. m housing. 808 thousand people were relocated from the emergency fund to new homes.
