Nissan has announced the new Leaf and many other models.

Nissan, which is in a difficult position due to falling sales and financial difficulties, has announced a number of new models due to debut before 2027, including new generations of Leaf, Juke and Micra. The brand's press service published the details on the company's website on March 26.
The third-generation electric Nissan Leaf will be introduced in 2025. It will be a crossover and will share the modular CMF-EV platform with the Ariya model. The car is promised 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof and a significant increase in power reserve compared to the previous generation model.
In the same year, the company intends to present a model with which it will revive the Micra name — the citicar will also receive an all-electric power plant, will be unified with the Renault R5 and will be able to travel up to 400 km on a single charge. It was developed by Nissan's European Design Center in London and will be offered exclusively to European customers.
The third-generation Nissan Juke will also be switched to electric traction. The updated Qashqai will be introduced to the European market at the end of 2025 - it will become the first model of the brand with an upgraded hybrid e-Power system.
In the USA and Canada, Nissan is going to introduce more than 10 new and updated models, including the next generation of the Sentra compact sedan and the updated Pathfinder SUV with Infiniti QX60, and in 2026 it will launch the new Rogue crossover of the future generation. By 2027, Japan will have a new key car and a large hybrid minivan in addition to the Leaf. New products are also planned for other key markets, including the Middle East and India.
On March 11, it became known that the head of Nissan, Makoto Uchida, would resign on April 1 and give way to Ivan Espinosa, who now holds the position of Director of Planning. According to Reuters, Uchida was forced to resign because he was under pressure after the deterioration of Nissan's profit figures and the failure of merger negotiations with Honda.
