Film director Andrey Ermash died at the age of 68.


Director Andrey Ermash died at the age of 68. This was announced on March 26 by the press service of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
"On March 25, 2025, at the age of 69, our friend and colleague, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, feature film director Andrey Filippovich Ermash passed away," the publication says on the website.
Ermash was born on March 5, 1957 in the family of the chairman of the State Committee of the USSR, Philip Ermash. In 1979 he graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of I.V. Talankin), since 1983 he has been a director at the Mosfilm film studio, co-author of his film scripts.
He directed such films as "The Return of the Doctor" (the film almanac "Youth"), "Moon Rainbow" (special prize for the best director among young cinematographers, the International Science Fiction Film Festival in Madrid, 1984), "The End of Eternity".
